Integrate Your Apple, Outlook, or Other Calendar

Sync your BoardOnTrack meetings to your Apple, Outlook, or another calendar via your iCalendar subscription URL.

Once synced, you will start to see your BoardOnTrack meetings in your calendar.

A few things to note:

  • Only future meetings to which you've RSVP'd Yes to (remotely or in-person ) will be synced to your calendar
  • Calendar sync is one way, meaning updates to your other calendar will not be reflected in BoardOnTrack
  • The initial sync to your calendar should be nearly instantaneous. Subsequent syncs may take up to a day, depending on the calendar tool you use. For example, Apple provides an auto-refresh choice of every 5 minutes, while Google does not provide a setting and may take up to 24 hours.
  • The iCalendar Subscription URL is unique to you. Be careful. Anyone with this URL can use it to view your meetings.

How to integrate BoardOnTrack with your Google Calendar

We recommend that you use BoardOnTrack's unique Google Calendar integration instead of the 'Apple, Outlook or Other' subscription.

The Google Calendar integration synchronizes immediately as opposed to only once per day.

Steps to integrate with Apple or another calendar

Follow these three steps to set your integration. These steps are explained in more detail below.

  1. Enable your URL
  2. Copy your unique URL
  3. Go to your calendar and configure it to use the URL

1. Enable your URL

View the integrations from your Profile settings page and click "Enable" to access your unique Subscription URL:

2. Copy your unique URL

 3. Configure your calendar to use your subscription URL

Click File -> New Calendar Subscription...

Paste the calendar subscription URL you copied from BoardOnTrack, then click subscribe.

How to integrate with your Outlook Calendar:

The following screenshots are specific to Outlook's Calendar in a web browser, but the steps below can be reapplied to other versions of Outlook that this integration is compatible with.

  1. Click Add calendar
  2. Select Subscribe from web

Paste the calendar subscription URL you copied from BoardOnTrack, then click import.

Disable your Calendar Subscription

If you would like to disable the calendar subscription, simply click on the disable button.

You may want to do this if you think someone else may have your URL and you no longer want them to access it. If that's the case, go to your other calendar and remove the subscription from there as well.

Re-enable your Calendar Subscription

Once disabled, you may re-enable the calendar subscription. Doing this will re-use the same unique URL. You will not need to reconfigure your other calendar unless you removed the subscription over there, too.
